Adolescent Wellbeing is responsible for protecting your personal data and this is taken very seriously. Your personal data is used for counselling purposes only and will not be shared with anyone else without your permission.

What is ‘Personal Data’?
Personal Data is any information that could be used to identify you, in other words information that could let others know who you are. This could be just your name and home address or other information such as your email address and telephone number.

How does Adolescent Wellbeing collect your Personal Data?
All the information either comes from you or your parents/carers. When a request for counselling comes through, forms are sent asking for details such as your name, address, date of birth. The form also asks for details of the problems you are going through, this is personal and private information.

How is your Personal Data stored?
Adolescent Wellbeing will take all possible steps to protect your data. All information stored on a laptop is password protected. All hard copies (pieces of paper) are stored in a locked filing cabinet.

How long is your Personal Data stored?
All information will be kept for 5 years unless you say otherwise. You have the right to look at or change your information. You also have the right to ask for your information to be deleted/destroyed at any time.
